Hello and welcome to the official Netflix Blog! We the blog authors are various members of the Netflix team. We're also rabid movie fans. We hope this will be a great forum for us to talk about what we are doing, and for you to tell us what you think.
Good news! Today we updated the NetflixApp for iOS to optimise the experience for iPhone 5. Download the App and enjoy Netflix films and TV programmes on the taller iPhone 5 screen. Have fun!

The wait is over. Today I am happy to announce the release of a completely new Netflix experience for Android-powered phones.
More and more of you use Netflix on mobile devices every day. Millions of Netflix members already use their smartphones to instantly watch films and TV programmes anywhere, anytime.
We are always working to improve the experience so Netflix members discover more great titles and watch more.
Compared to the previous version, the new Netflix experience on Android phones is much more immersive. You will see many more titles and galleries than we have ever shown before on a smartphone. It is much closer to the Netflix experience on tablets, which got a major upgrade late last year.
At the top of the new browse screen on Android phones is a row that lets you continue watching programmes or films that you previously started watching right where you left off ñ a very handy feature. Lower down in the new experience are several personalised rows filled with film and TV programme recommendations.
Tapping the browse menu gives you access to an extensive list of genre galleries that show even more titles organised into categories. Parents ñ like me ñ will really appreciate the children and family gallery with many titles organised by age.
A simple tap on any title presents all of the information for that title, and a double-tap on any title starts instant playback. Also, search is available everywhere in the application, so you can always find what you are looking for.
The new Netflix experience is available for Android devices using Gingerbread and newer operating systems. Download the new Netflix Android phone experience today at Google Play.

We've
been working hard at Netflix to bring our members in the UK and
Ireland great new content each month, and September is no exception. From the global
blockbuster Iron Man 2, to the sentimental buddy comedy 50/50, to
Gerard Butler as the Machine Gun Preacher, September will be a great
month for movie lovers, no matter what your favorite genre is. Also launching this month on Netflix are several
exciting TV series, including the Emmy award winning comedy Modern Family and
Covert Affairs, a new show on UKTV starring Piper Perabo as a CIA spy. In addition, we are pleased to announce that cult-hit The
League will make its UK debut exclusively on Netflix on September 15th.
On the independent side, we're adding great documentary films this
month too, including Mansome, the latest effort from Oscar-nominee Morgan Spurlock, and Press Pause
Play, which explores how the digital era has affected creativity. And look no further than Spiral for an excellent crime drama, imported from France. Enjoy the show!
